It was quite the shock for the man from Scranton (and Claymont and Wilmington, Delaware).
President Barack Obama moved Vice President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. to tears Thursday by awarding him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest honor for civilian. The move clearly caught the vice president by surprise. He immediately turned away from the view of the cameras so people couldn’t see him cry and struggled to hold it together after that.
